About Us
WHO WE ARE
We started ICEF with the aim of advancing the education of disadvantaged children living in Northern Uganda through provision of grants, scholarships and the provision of materials and facilities for education.
We are inspired by our Christian faith and strong belief that we are called to a ministry of helping seriously disadvantaged children to receive Education.
Itinga Charity Education Foundation (ICEF) is a registered Nonprofit Organization. Registration Number INDR 157265068NB
Since “Itinga” means “You lift me”, we can lift these needy children and youth to greater heights by donating to support them through an education that will change their lives and the poor communities of Northern Uganda that has suffered 20 years LRA rebel internal war, diseases like malaria, nodding, HIV/AIDS, prolonged dry spells in semi-desert areas like Karamoja sub region, unemployment, and high rates of illiteracy. Many children have been left orphans who are living in poverty without basic needs.
We can lift these needy children and youth to greater heights by donating to support them through an education that will change their lives.
OUR VISION & MISSION
OUR OBJECTIVES/ WHAT WE DO
The following are ICEF's objectives and Images will show some of our progress.
- SCHOLARSHIPS
To advance the Education of disadvantaged children in Northern Uganda through provision of grants and full scholarships.
Our scholarship schemes include school fees, boarding requirements and school requirements. And scholarships are awarded to the poorest needy children with academic ability or otherwise willing to work hard and achieve full potential.
Poverty can deny children rights to Education and hope for a bright future.
Paying school fees is a big challenge for many families and children, especially girls, often drop out of school before they have completed their primary level and children with disabilities who are kept at home because parents may not be able to afford disability aids, equipment, and paying for the children to go to school.
Would you like to donate to provide Scholarships or Sponsor a Child?
2. PROVISION OF MATERIALS AND FACILITIES FOR EDUCATION
To provide scholastic materials such as Braille materials like Braille machines, braille paper, text books in braille etc. to facilitate children with visual impairment.
We also provide textbooks and other study materials to schools to facilitate learning for other disadvantaged children.
To provide facilities for education such as school libraries and classrooms or to renovate badly damaged school facilities.
Some schools in remote areas still study under the trees. You may wonder, why would children study under the trees in this era, but that is the reality, due to shortage of classrooms. In some instances, the number of children in a class is overwhelming for a teacher because children cannot be divided into streams, this could be because some classroom blocks are old and damaged. Some have few desks, chairs, and other furniture.
.

Please support us to help these schools provide a better learning environment for children.
Would you like to donate to raise the level of opportunity for pupils, schools, and communities through the provision of resources and facilities for Education? Kindly contact us to know the current project and how you can help info@icef-itinga.org
3. EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE
To promote understanding and exchange of knowledge on the subject of Education and to work with other organisations.
