Students enrolled for studies at the inclusive secondary school for the blind. 2024 has been an incredibly successful year for us at Itinga Charity Education Foundation and Imara- Uganda Education Fund, after completing phase one of the construction of an inclusive secondary school for the blind – St Mary Goretti Secondary School,Ngetta. The school was pioneered with 14 senior one students during the official first term of the year. ie, 6 visually impaired students, 1 student with cerebral palsy, 4 non disabled and 3 lame students.
It’s been an exhilarating journey so far, and we are confident that in 2025, we will be in position to provide more space for hundreds of students with different abilities to have access to quality inclusive secondary education.
We greatly appreciate our partner Imara-Uganda Education Fund for the grants provided , Lira Catholic diocese for providing land and all our donors and communities. Because of you, St. Mary Goretti SS Ngetta is now providing inclusive education to the blind and other students.
